Terms and Conditions of the Emmetts Facebook Live Sales Auction
We do everything possible to make our auctions fair and transparent. Please read the following information before you bid and buy.
How to bid
The auction will take place on Facebook live. To access Facebook live install Facebook and follow Emmetts Emmetts, @emmettsfarmequipment. A notification will pop up that says “Emmetts is broadcasting on Facebook live on your phone. Bids can be placed through the Facebook comments, or by phoning in your bid on:

As the registration is your Facebook account, we will also require your full name and address to accept a bid, either by phone or Facebook.
All bids must be submitted are in Australian dollars. All bids are exclusive of the GST which will be charged on the invoice generated by Emmetts. A bid that was unsuccessful may be reinstated if a problem arises with a higher bid. If payment is not made within 7 days of the auction by the winning bidder the next highest bidder may be contacted.
The auction will only occur while broadcasting on Facebook Live, during the time advertised.
Emmetts will not submit any bids on any machinery as a reserve is in place. All forms of shill bidding, including collusion, bid manipulation is strictly forbidden. You may not make a bid under a false name.
As a bidder you acknowledge and agree that the internet is an unreliable, unsecured, and error-prone network and Emmetts cannot and do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to the Facebook Live Broadcast. You agree to hold Emmetts harmless for any interruptions in the Facebook Live Broadcast, or your inability to reach or effectively use the phone or internet bidding system.
The Equipment will have reserve pricing on it
If the bidding reaches the reserve, the seller will inform the group that the reserve has been met. The bids are irrevocable, and all sales are final. Most of the equipment is new, demo equipment is clearly labelled “demo” on online advertising and it will be mentioned at the time of the auction.
Emmetts welcomes inspections as the equipment will be sold “as is”
It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that all questions on the specs of the machine are investigated prior to the auction. The equipment is sold “as is” and “where is” as the freight will be the responsibility of the buyer from the Emmetts location the machine is located at. Emmetts recommends that you visit the machine before bidding on auction day. Standard manufactures warranties apply on all new equipment.
Transaction fees for buyers
There is no transaction fee for the auction process other than the purchase price of the machine and GST. If financing is sought through Emmetts Finance Department, finance application charges and fees may apply as part of the finance arrangement.

Payment and removal
Purchases must be paid in full within seven (7) days of the end of the auction. Buyers cannot remove their purchases from the Emmetts property until the machine is paid in full.
